Our Breeding Program

We select our Bengal cats with a clear vision: to preserve the authentic charm of their wild ancestor, the Asian Leopard Cat (ALC). The Bengal breed originates from a hybridization with this small arboreal feline, native to Southeast Asia, which primarly lives along waterways.

Although modern Bengals are now at least nine generation removed fron their ancestor and retain only a small portion of the original genetic heritage ( approximately 2-4%, according to Dr. Kaelin's studies), our commitment is to preserve the primitive beauty that makes them so unique.

Burningbright Bengals stand out for their high-contrast coats, enhanced by natural rosettes reminiscent of arrowheds or paw prints, while still embtracing a variety of natural shapes. The small spots on the legs add further character and charm, while the dorsal line features a completely broken pattern.

A straight or slightly concave profile is also a key characteristic in our breeding program.

From a physical  standpoint, oru cats are athletic and muscular, with fluid and graceful
movements that perfectly express the elegance and strengh of the breed.
